Maddie Boo Bedding is here!

I've been a long-time fan of Maddie Boo Bedding and have been recommending this beautiful line of crib bedding, kids' bedding and accessories to my nursery design clients at Jack and Jill Interiors for years. So needless to say, I'm thrilled to now be offering this beautiful line to my baby boutique customers at Jack and Jill Boutique!

A little background on the company and it's very talented founder / designer, Cinda Brown:

Designer Cinda Brown, founder of Maddie Boo bedding, has long been a trendsetter in the juvenile industry. She began as an interior designer and was enlisted to do several nurseries for many long-time clients. Through this experience and love for textiles she was led to design her own bedding line for babies and children. Inspired by her two daughters, nicknamed “Maddie” and “Boo” she began creating bedding for both children and parents alike.
While on vacation in New York City she took a few of the designs to some retailers and the orders began to pour in. She knew she was on to something big. Other retailers began to call requesting her line for their stores and the rest is history.
Compelling fabric combinations, interesting embellishments, and inviting textures characterize the line. Add to that quality workmanship and strict attention to detail making Maddie Boo both perfectly functional and aesthetically pleasing.
Cinda’s designs have landed in the homes of Courtney Cox, Heidi Klum, Benjamin Bratt, Dylan McDermott, and Liv Tyler to name a few. Maddie Boo has also been pictured in the pages of magazines such as Better Homes and Gardens Kids Rooms, In Style Home, EPregnancy and Child. The line has also been featured on Good Morning America, Access Hollywood and VH-1 and more.
Due to the growing popularity of her bedding Cinda soon added moses baskets and blankets to her product line. Now mothers could tote their newborns in style. Her latest labor of love is an accessory line. Fresh looks for bibs, burbs, hooded towels and more are debuting in markets everywhere. Coming full circle with her passion for fabrics her own line of textiles is in the works.
Customers know they can count on the Maddie Boo brand for style, quality and function.

I personally love each and every carefully designed set...but I think the Sock Monkey Crib set is my favorite. This brings back such sweet childhood memories from me when I see it!

Think PINK for 2011!

I think I've always loved every shade of pink. As a teen in the 80's, I wouldn't walk out the door without wearing at least one pink item. In fact, in my junior year, a friend bet me that I couldn't go a week without wearing pink and yes, he won. I was caught with little pink bows on my socks. My nickname to many was even "Pinky"! (If I can find a photo of the pink satin prom gown I had, I'll insert it later.)
When I "grew up" (yes, the jury is still out on if/when that has happened since I play with crayons, scissors and markers all day!), I even painted my first studio a very sweet, pale pink. The color just makes me happy and it also works well with my skin and hair tones. If I had my druthers, I'd have some pink in every room of my home...but living in "testosterone zone" doesn't allow me to do so!
So it's no surprise that when I heard recently that the Pantone Color of 2011 is Honeysuckle, I was tickled pink!
Last year's big color was Turquoise and I'm sure we'll continue to see many shades of this used in decor, especially for the boys. But bright and happy pink will be popping up in everything now from fashion to bedding and furniture. I guess it's time to break out my big pink purses and baubles again!
Enjoy some pink images from my designs, personal life and other collections below!
Yes, my computer, and many items on my desk are pink. My company pens that I give out at conventions are pink, too!
I love my pink tool belt, and matching protective pink goggles.
Much of my wall art reflects my favorite color.
Many of the nurseries and rooms I've decorated were a sweet shade of pink!
Sneak peek at a recent girl's room I've completed for a television celebrity. Many shades of yummy pink here!
A favorite UGG purse I carry throughout the winter.
These boots are fun and really turn some heads! I wear them when feeling especially spunky and want to create a stir!

My favorite new cardigan available at White House Black Market.

I also love wearing my pink flower ring. I purchased mine at a little beach gift shop in Maryland, but you can find similar rings online easily.

I don't leave the house without my pink Ravens mug full of coffee. (Yep, Eric...you can take the girl out of Baltimore, but you can't take Baltimore out of the girl!)

And I always sport my pink Coach sunglasses. Notice my favorite fall jacket from Eddie Bauer, too! Lots and lots of pink in my wardrobe. And for the record...I've got more. But I'm keeping this a G rated post! ;)

My first, and so far- only venture into crib bedding design was this pink Bird's Nest set.

Sherri Blum Bedding!

This week, a long time dream of mine has come true. As a children's room interior designer, I love creating completely new bedding designs and decor for my clients. My heart races when I pull together fabric swatches to select custom baby bedding and when I put my paintbrush to the canvas to create the room's finishing touches. Creating something entirely unique is what I love most about my chosen career.

I've always wanted to be able to offer an entire nursery room package of my own design, through my brand, Sherri Blum Designs. Crib bedding of high quality and unique design, but at a moderate price level. I can finally say that my dream is coming true and I am so very excited and happy to share it with you!

The first in my series of baby crib bedding designs is "Bird's Nest Bedding". It includes the popular pink and brown nursery colors of today and incorporates my own bird's nest painting design as an embroidered panel in the crib bumpers, quilt and toss pillow. The set was created to coordinate with several of my best selling nursery wall art designs and is priced to sell at only $210 retail for the 4 piece crib set. A valance and toss pillow are available separately and retail at $24 each.

Take a look at the image here and visit my list of favorite retailers on my website to purchase. We're expecting our first shipment into the warehouse by June 15. Many of my retailers are so excited about this sweet and unique crib bedding that they are taking preorders, so visit them to reserve your set today. From the looks of things, the first batch will be selling quickly so don't wait for the next shipment.

Stay tuned for the next design which will likely be released in about 2 months.
